Figaro is Jay Heinrichs, author of the bestselling Thank You for Arguing: What Aristotle, Lincoln and Homer Simpson Can Teach Us About the Art of Persuasion (Crown/Three Rivers Press, Penguin UK). He now has a second book, Word Hero: A Fiendishly Clever Guide to Crafting the Lines that Get Laughs, Go Viral, and Live Forever (Three Rivers Press).
Jay spent 26 years as a writer, editor and publishing executive before heading to the North Woods and devoting most of his time to rhetoric. He has given lectures and workshops to dozens of colleges and high schools, and serves as a persuasion and content consultant to numerous corporations and government entities.
